beginning is a tad slow but the end had me in tears. Nesta's character development is amazing. When all the pieces come together at the end, its incredible and captivating. I couldn't put it down!
  • A fire of a series

It was such a small start, just a brush of smoke from kindling and, it simply became. This series made me beg for the flame to grow and grow. It was a perfect build, an exceptional climax and a lovely finish. I am all in for what comes next!!

    So good

I am in love with Maas’s style and decisions in this book. I’ll admit, it was a bit different from the last book, but I feel books 1 & 2 had their differences as well. The plot allowed some of the other characters to undergo major character development and I feel like we got to know them on an even deeper level. Overall, the book was beautiful and is a must read for all/any fantasy lovers! Thanks Sarah J. Maas, keep doing what you’re doing!!!

Great installment in the series; worth the $ either in ebook format or hard copy. Feyre and Rhys kickass as usual and the ensuing action that follows is addictive to read.

First of all I am totally in love with a Sarah J. Maas as a writer and I think that all of her writings have been wonderful and intriguing. This book was a great installment into the series and I can't wait to see the next one in 2018! This novel contained a WHOLE lot more than the other books, from my perspective, and I love seeing Maas grow as a writer with each book! 10/10 would buy and read and love again!
  • Disappointed

    By Garbage10017!
I tried to love it as much as the other two books but something was missing . There was no passion in this book it's was boring almost. I didn't feel any romance between Rhys and Fayre. It was repeating scenes from the last book like the visit to the court of nightmares the trip to the woods catching syrele but minus the thrill . It left a huge cliff hanger as far as what happened with Elaine and her Lucien. Nestas weird behavior was very irritating because there was no explanation for it. Thumbs down for me. Mor is a lesbian, really ? Lol just horrible plot . Maybe Tamlin is gay too, try that for your next book.
  • enjoyed it!

3.5 stars! I really enjoyed this series and am so excited to hear that there will be more in the future about secondary characters. I was so excited to get the conclusion to Feyre and Rhys's story. There was the right amount of humor, angst, anxiety, and heat. I LOVE their bond and connection *le sigh* I enjoyed the drama, the sneakiness, and ultimately the conclusion but at times felt like I wanted more or less of things. Let me explain... There was a lot of introductions to new characters in this one and some times I found it hard to keep them all together, trying to remember who was who. I guess the reason for this is to have some of these characters have their own books later which is something I would definitely read but at times I also felt that there was back story that I was missing and wanted to know more about. There would have been some conclusions that I would have loved to get in this book but this already being a 700+ page book I could see how that would make a long book even longer. Speaking of long book... there were times that I was kind of bored. And I hate saying that as I love this series but some things were almost too detailed, too explained and I just wanted to move on to get to the action or to maybe get some of the backstory that I felt was missing. I wanted more of the battle and fight, to get more action so I could feel the heart palpitations of who was going to make it and survive—that gut wrenching/ominous feeling in my heart was missing. Yes, there was the big fight in the end, but I guess I would have thought that there would be more spread out throughout the book. Did I feel some emotion and heartache—most definitely but I just wanted more. I wish I saw more of the power of some of the characters. But again, maybe this will come out more in the future books? I hope so! I continue to love the world building—Sarah knows how to create beautiful worlds and I was there, I could see it in my mind. I loved the friendship of these characters—going above and beyond for each other and doing anything to protect each other made me love them even more. That friendship of this circle is probably one of the best things about this series and one of the strongest ones I have seen in any series for that matter. “The great joy and honor of my life has been to know you. To call you my family. And I am grateful - more than I can possibly say - that I was given this time with you all.” I can't wait to see what she has in store for us in 2018 and whose story is next! I want to add that this took longer for me to read than the previous books... Again I enjoyed it but I would have liked it EVEN MORE if was a bit more faster paced. Oh and to add one more thing - I really WISH they would stop marketing this series as a YA because I would NEVER allow my teens to read this book with some of the graphic things that happen. If this is meant to be YA then some of those scenes should definitely not be included.
  • Another fabulous read!

Love, love, loved it. What an emotional rollercoaster. Is it 2018 yet?
  • It was Good... and I enjoyed it. But it could have been cleaner

Loved books one and two. Love the characters. It felt messy and a little anticlimactic. The build up of Feyre, Nesta, and even Rys power was never demonstrated. I think the author had a hard time explaining every detail from Freyre's point of view. Even I got sick of seeing everything from her point of view. Some of the characters flip flopped on who they were, and what they were fighting for. It felt unbelievable. I felt like the LGBT twist to one of the characters felt forced. (I like having a gay character. It didn't have the backstory it needed for it to float). And, I felt like it had too much sex. I get it. You guys are married and in love. That's great. It got boring. Overall, I liked it. I enjoyed it. At some points I even cried. Love this series, and am looking forward to more!!

The third installment of this series did not disappoint ! This may have been my favorite which I didn't think was possible after the second book, Sarah is an extremely gifted author who has outdone herself. The character development was so fulfilling. The action sequences had my adrenal rushing!! I read this in 2 days and felt like I had been on a roller coaster of emotions, in a great way. Cannot wait for the next book!!! I wish I could space them out but these books are the kind you just can't put down! I have read every one of her books multiple times, great author!

Beautiful... I loved this series so much. The writing and the building of this world was more real to me than any that I've read. The characters are relatable and Feyre's story touched my heart. This series will stick with me for awhile. In short, read it!
  • Disappointed

    By Rosathon
So disappointed. Feyre was such a strong character in the first two books but in this one she sits on the sidelines most of the time. There's never any conflict between her and Rhys. She's always looking to him for approval when the whole point of their relationship was that she was free to make her own decisions. It's too flowery and makes Rhys into a flat character. In this book, the heroes are the side characters. Even Nesta is more intriguing than Feyre. It was so frustrating. I loved the other books so much and there were so many opportunities for Feyre to show her strength, to stand up for herself, and she didn't.

Words can literally not explain how amazing this series has been so far. I am in awe and completely shook to my core and the level of beauty and amzingness this book is at. When I read I travel to a whole mother world without ever leaving my house. This has been one hell of a journey and I can't wait for 2018.

I've been waiting for this for what feels like forever. Now it's finally here and I know that I'll love it. I liked the first, and the second was better. I know that I'll love this one more than the second if not then as much as the second!!!!!!!!!! Fingers crossed for a happy ending with Cassian and Nesta!
