Now an AT&T Audience Original Series

The fabulously suspenseful and "smashing" (The New York Times Book Review) final novel in the Bill Hodges trilogy from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Mr. Mercedes and Finders Keepers!

For nearly six years, in Room 217 of the Lakes Region Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic, Brady Hartsfield has been in a persistent vegetative state. A complete recovery seems unlikely for the insane perpetrator of the “Mercedes Massacre,” in which eight people were killed and many more maimed for life. But behind the vacant stare, Brady is very much awake and aware, having been pumped full of experimental drugs...scheming, biding his time as he trains himself to take full advantage of the deadly new powers that allow him to wreak unimaginable havoc without ever leaving his hospital room. Brady Hartsfield is about to embark on a new reign of terror against thousands of innocents, hell-bent on taking revenge against anyone who crossed his path—with retired police detective Bill Hodges at the very top of that long list....

  • Enjoyable Read

I did not read the prequals to the end of this trilogy. I still found this book very enjoyable and very worthy of 4 stars. I think having read the trilogy in order I would have given this book 5 stars. Great Read.

I just finished End of Watch, the last of this 3 book series. King never fails to intrigue and captivate my imagination. What I most appreciate about his talent however is that within the construct of developing a great horror/mystery, he manages to use such beautifully vivid, richly unique language to bond you to his characters. Love this author - never gets stale or repetitive, no matter how many great stories he writes!

End of Watch was a five star read! Just as good as Mr. Mercedes and Finders Keepers. Mr King you knocked a home run again!

I really enjoyed all 3books. My only disappointment as it's always been since reading Kings' books is poor characterization of African-Americans. They always seem stuck in the 60-70s state of Mind or acting. It's very revealing. You don't have an inkling of the contemporary black man at all. I really thought Jerome was gonna prove me wrong in this novel, but...

Took me awhile to finally get around to this series ender but it was worth the wait. The first two were good but this one was awesome and more like what I expect from Stephen King. Continuing in the same vein as the previous books this was a real page turner for me. If you're a King fan you've got to read all three but especially this one !
  • Unexpected Turn

I loved the first two books, and they were more realistic fiction. I wasn't expecting the hard turn towards fiction in this final book. It was a little unbelievable in my opinion, but I still enjoyed the read.

I've been reading Mr. King's work since "The Stand", "The Shining", "The Dead Zone" and I've never been disappointed. These three books are truly an integrated trilogy and should be read in the order of the title of this review. Mr. King has given enough background in each of the successive titles to not really need to read the first, but why would you want to miss it? I'm pretty busy with work and started reading "Mr. Mercedes" in the hammock on weekends last summer and just finished up "End of Watch" last weekend on the couch while it looked like snow outside. From beginning to end, a great trilogy.
  • Excellent way to wrap up a series

Excellent way to wrap up a series I love the misfit group of good guys. When I first started this trilogy, I had no idea that many of the these turns were coming. End of Watch is sort of a horror and thriller, but it really brought out the feelings of warmth and friendship in me also. Great writing.
